ECWC11 was held on March 17-19, 2008 in Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition International Hotel. Started from 1978, the past 10 world conventions were held in rotation in Europe, US and Japan. After the efforts of CPCA and the development of electronic circuits industry in China, CPCA is authorized to be the host organization for ECWC11. ECWC11 brings out the concept ＾Environment and Innovative Technology Challenge￣ according to world development and industry focus. Electronic Circuits World Convention 11 was successfully held with two and half-day program at Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition International Hotel by the host sponsoring organization China Printed Circuit Association (CPCA) under the World Electronic Circuits Council (WECC). It is the first time that ECWC was held in China and during the convention, registrants counted 907 form 16 countries and region (including Social Program registrants and Proceedings-only registrants) and 117 technical presentations (89 Oral Papers, 28 Poster Papers, and 3 keynote speeches were made to report the up-to-dated technology, management, status and future prospects of electronic circuits industry, discussed the environment and innovative technology challenges of the industry. The preparations of ECWC 11 in Shanghai were fully supported by WECC member association during the process of event.
