Electronic Circuits World Convention 8 was successfully held with 4-day program at Tokyo International Forum by the joint sponsorship of 4 International organizations: JPCA (Japan); EIPC (Europe); IPC (USA); and UK ECWC 8 Committee (UK), and cooperation with 13 Supporting Organizations. During the convention, registrants counted 1,220 form 22 countries and region (including Social Program registrants and Proceedings-only registrants) and 136 technical presentations (72 Oral Papers, 58 Poster Papers, and 6 Asia Supporters¨ Presentations) were made to report the up-to-dated technology, management, and status and future prospects of electronic circuits industry in Asia. In order to hold ECWC 8 in Tokyo, the Hosting Sponsoring Organization, JPCA prepared with cooperation of the Sponsoring Organizations (JPCA, EIPC, IPC, and UK ECWC 8 Committee) and mainly Asian-based 13 Supporting Organizations (Japan: JIEP, China: CPCA, Korea: KPCBA, India: IPCA, Taiwan: TPCA, Taiwan: Taiwan IMAPS/SMTA, Australia: AEEMA/APCMA, Australia: SMCBA, Philippines: SEIPI, Israel: ILTAM-UUATE, and Europe: EFIP) for numbers of discussions and meetings including past Hosting Organizations, Policy Committees, and Program Committees.
