TPCA appreciate the kindly contribution and support from all circle.
Supported by TPCA members, WECC members and Media, Taiwan Printed Circuit Association (TPCA) could run successfully and grow strongly. TPCA is proud of being a PCB industry communication bridge. For providing more perfect member service and fellowship activities, TPCA planned to establish new building in Sep. 10, 2004 under the agreement of TPCA director and supervisor committee. Prepared for 5 years and subscribed by many kindly members, TPCA new building started to build in last March. Therefore, TPCA held an opening ceremony in July 9, 2009. At that day, TPCA invited Economic Development Department of Taoyuan County Vice Chief, Mr. Yun-Chen Wong, TPCA Chairman, Mr. Simon Chen and previous TPCA Chairmen to attend this opening ceremony. It started with a lovely Taiwan aborigine performance and traditional drum show. There were almost 150 guests attending this event.
Mr. Simon Chen, TPCA Chairman, indicated that he was so happy and proud to see TPCA members were so united. Because all members are generous to donate, PCB industry has its own communication platform finally. He encouraged TPCA members could donate continually. The Vice Chief of Economic Development Dep. of Taoyuan County, Mr. Wong said, the development of PCB industry in Taoyuan is over 40 years long and there have 40% PCB manufacturers concentrated in Taoyuan county. Besides, the PCB industry creates a great contribution to Taoyuan economic value and job opportunity. Furthermore, TPCA new office is located in Taouyuan county and close to Taoyuan Station of Taiwan High Speed Rail station and Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. It possesses the geographic advantage which will increase the development and competition of Taoyuan county.
Former TPCA Chairman, Mr. Chia-Ching Tong addressed that after establishing 11 years, TPCA has its own building finally. It represents that Taiwan PCB industry cooperates and unites tightly and offers their effort continually. Besides, he said many thanks to Morrison Liang (Vice Chairman of TPCA) and Mr. Yuan-Fan Zhong who promoted the foundation of TPCA. Furthermore, he also appreciated TPCA advisers, Dr. Frank Bai and Mr. Ting-Hao Lin who contribute their knowledge to professional PCB publication.
Previous TPCA Chairman (President of Unimicron), Mr. T. J. Tseng was so moved by the development of TPCA. He said Taiwan PCB industry plays an important role in Taiwan economic development. Now new TPCA building had finished, it represents TPCA had moved forward to a new era. He expects TPCA could be a bridge to promote PCB technology and cultivate talent for industry and academic area. Mr. Tseng appreciated the convener of TPCA building establishment committee, Mr. Rick Wu and he announced Unimicron Corporation will donate 1 million NTD. TPCA vice Chairman, Mr. Rick Wu (General Manager of Career Technology) offered his heartfelt thanks to all commissioners of TPCA building committee. Because of their effort, our TPCA building could finish successfully.
The opening ceremony was begun by TPCA Chairman, Mr. Simon Chen, Vice Chairmen, Mr. Morrison Liang and Rick Wu, previous TPCA Chairmen, Mr. Chia-Ching Tong and Mr. T. J. Tseng and Vice President & MCL General Director, ITRI, Mr. Jong-Min Liu at auspicious time. TPCA will make use of this resource to gain the best welfare for TPCA members.
