WECC is the world organization formed by international member associations involved in the Global Electronic Circuits Industry. WECC has responsibility for all matters relating to the ECWC, such as the concept of meeting, operational procedures, the meeting programs, participants/presenters, promotions specific to the ECWC, etc., and shall delegate the formulation of these matters as appropriate, reserving the right of approval.

China Printed Circuit Association (CPCA) is under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of People’ Republic of China. It has 600 members who are PCB producers, CCL and special material suppliers, special equipment manufacturers, SMT and EMS manufacturers, research institutes and colleges as well as universities. Nine grade two division associations are under CPCA. Established in 1990, CPCA owns independent corporate position.

CPCA organizes the member companies to participate in CPCA and WECC standardization works; develops joint standards with WECC sister association such as IPC and JPCA; participates in tariff term and material consumption rate standardization; publishes newspapers, magazines and books; maintains CPCA website; holds annual CPCA Show in every March and annual Spring and Autumn Symposiums; conducts training and workshops; carries out industry surv.....

The European Institute of Printed Circuits (EIPC), based in The Netherlands, is an international service provider to the European Interconnection and Packaging Industry. Since 1968, the EIPC is servicing almost 130 member companies, including suppliers of machinery and materials to the PCB industry, PCB Manufacturers, contract electronics manufacturers and OEMs.

Hong Kong Printed Circuit Association Limited (HKPCA), established in year 2000, is a Hong Kong based trade association dedicated to promote and protect the right and interests of its member companies in the printed circuit industry. As the number of PCB manufacturers in China continues to grow, HKPCA supports and organizes technical and business seminars, training, conferences and exhibitions in Hong Kong and China to help its members and other industry players to sustain their growth. Our mission and objectives are to promote and protect the rights and interests of the printed circuit industry, represent the industry and present its views to the Government and/or other parties, establish and manage funds for charity purposes, develop and strengthen internal and external communication, with a view to enhancing cooperation and business opportunities, by means of the following:

The Indian Printed Circuit Association, established in the year 1985 is a voluntary, non-profit, service oriented, professional organization, formed with the sole objective of promoting the state-of-art PCB design, technology and manufacture in the country by mutual exchange of ideas and technical interaction arranged through seminars, conferences, educational programmes and international tradeshows. An electronic design wing of IPCA was added to it in the year 2001 with the formation of Electronic Designers Council of India (EDCI) as an affiliate member of the IPC Designers Council to join the global society of designers dedicated to further the electronic design requirements. Corporation Japanese etched circuit manufacturer's association (Japan Electronics Packaging and Circuits Association: JPCA). JPCA was established in 1962, as the optional group and in 1977 it is the enterprise group of production business and affiliated business of the only etched circuit in Japan which is permitted as a Corporation from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry.

JPCA contributes to the healthy development of etched circuit industry and related industry by assuring the advancement of etched circuit industry, contributes to the progress advancement of electronic engineering technology and the improvement of machine function electronic quality of the etched circuit, by assuring the improvement of efficiency, has and designates that it contributes to the development of national economy as purpose.

The Korea Printed Circuit Association established in July 2003 has been in charge of the contribution to KPCA member's benefit as well as the improvement of the global electronic circuits industry, through the reinforcement of Korean PCB industry competition and the mutual cooperation of its membership. To cope with the situation, KPCA constructs the mutual cooperation of its membership and offers information on the PCB market and products. In addition, KPCA manages KPCA-show as a professional PCB exhibition yearly. KPCA is also active in the capacity of membership of the World Electronic Circuits Council (WECC) and exerts all possible efforts to make the global PCB industry developed, in cooperation with the overseas associations.

The Taiwan Printed Circuit Association (TPCA) was established in 1998. The TPCA is the only PCB industry organization serving 536 member companies. TPCA aims to provide the latest market information, promote information exchange and resources among members through collaborative efforts, and attend international conventions.

Electronic Circuits World Convention

The Electronic Circuits World Convention (ECWC) is the global convention sponsored by WECC. ECWC provides a valuable forum for the exchange of information and opinions, enhances the spirit of co-operation among electronic circuits industries and the related industries all over the world, and encourages the domestic industries and economic activities in every country or region. ECWCs will be held every three years in regular rotation through Asia, Europe, and the Americas. ECWCs are an official part of the WECC (World Electronic Circuits Council). ECWCs will be held in conjunction with an accredited major WECC event in the specific geographical area. Therefore, this world event will always attempt to offer the industrial character and color of the region where the meeting is held. With WECC member support ECWC will endeavor to bring together global participation and will encourage the latest and most significant information. Inclusion of papers and attendance from all areas of the world will be encouraged. ECWC12 will be held in 2011 host sponsored by TPCA. .....

ECWC11 was held on March 17-19, 2008 in Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition International Hotel. Started from 1978, the past 10 world conventions were held in rotation in Europe, US and Japan. After the efforts of CPCA and the development of electronic circuits industry in China, CPCA is authorized to be the host organization for ECWC11. ECWC11 brings out the concept “Environment and Innovative Technology Challenge” according to world development and industry focus. Electronic Circuits World Convention 11 was successfully held with two and half-day program at Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition International Hotel by the host sponsoring organization China Printed Circuit Association (CPCA) under the World Electronic Circuits Council (WECC). It is the first time that ECWC was held in China and during the convention, registrants counted 907 form 16 countries and region (including Social Program registrants and Proceedings-only registrants) and 117 technical presentations (89 Oral Papers, 28 Poster Papers, and 3 keynote speeches were made to report the up-to-dated t.....

ECWC10 was held on Feb 22-24 in Anaheim Convention Center Anaheim, CA, USA. 1189 attendees participated in the convention with successful programs. Feedback received showed that the quality of presentations was outstanding. There were 40 Paper Sessions with over 100 papers presented, over 50 posters presented, 7 Free Forum discussions, over 80 Committee Meetings, 2 Award Luncheons, and Reception. .....

ECWC9 was held on Oct 7-9 in Cologne, 2002 in Germany hosted by EIPC. The Electronics Circuits World Convention, ECWC9 provided a unique platform for industry members to learn more about what was going on in global electronics and PCB industries. It opened a window of opportunities to exchange information, talk to industry peers, offering superb learning possibilities, without neglecting the “fun factor”. The 9th ECWC, before the year 1999 known as PCWC, has an unequalled track record. Starting in 1978 in London, the conference moved every 3 years to Munich, Washington DC, Tokyo, Glasgow, San Francisco, Basel and Tokyo in 1999. The EIOC hosted the 9th Convention, the first in the 21st century. ECWC9 is a perfect mix of business and pleasure. The extensive and high class conference programme which informed how our electronics industry is changing; having closer ties with other industry segments up and down the supply chain. The City of Cologne is the perfect location for ECWC9. An ultra modern and trendy city in a historic setting, made the stay comfortable and above all memorable. .....

Electronic Circuits World Convention 8 was successfully held with 4-day program at Tokyo International Forum by the joint sponsorship of 4 International organizations: JPCA (Japan); EIPC (Europe); IPC (USA); and UK ECWC 8 Committee (UK), and cooperation with 13 Supporting Organizations. During the convention, registrants counted 1,220 form 22 countries and region (including Social Program registrants and Proceedings-only registrants) and 136 technical presentations (72 Oral Papers, 58 Poster Papers, and 6 Asia Supporters’ Presentations) were made to report the up-to-dated technology, management, and status and future prospects of electronic circuits industry in Asia. In order to hold ECWC 8 in Tokyo, the Hosting Sponsoring Organization, JPCA prepared with cooperation of the Sponsoring Organizations (JPCA, EIPC, IPC, and UK ECWC 8 Committee) and mainly Asian-based 13 Supporting Organizations (Japan: JIEP, China: CPCA, Korea: KPCBA, India: IPCA, Taiwan: TPCA, Taiwan: Taiwan IMAPS/SMTA, Australia: AEEMA/APCMA, Australia: SMCBA, Philippines: SEIPI, Israel: ILTAM-UUATE, and Europe: EFIP).....
